With the installation of our three pastors as "Family Pastors", we have added a new name to highlight our joint responsibilities and the union of our ministries, programs and services. We are now St Benedict of Waterford, a part of the WATERS OF LIGHT Family of Parishes. Joined by Prince of Peace, West Bloomfield and Our Lady of Refuge, Orchard Lake. Hopefully, our "family name" will highlight not only our geographic area but that our parishes will become beacons of hope which light the way for others to find Christ.
As we move forward, our Family Pastors and Staff will be working on strategic planning to help understand the nature of our three parishes, each specific charism of our three parishes and what value each brings to the Family of Parishes. Once strategic planning is completed, we will be in a better position to formulate a staffing plan for the future that will enable us to Unleash the Gospel in new and creative ways.
Please pray for the growth of our Family of Parishes. May we, in the years to come, learn to work and pray together. As the Waters of Light Family of Parishes, may we continue to grow strong in faith, loving in our actions and wise in our deliberations for the future.
